Blogger invitado, Joel Sosa envió sus sugerencias sobre maneras en que todos podemos hacer nuestra parte para ayudar al medio ambiente:
1. Desenchufa los aparatos eléctricos cuando no estén en uso. Muchos electrodomésticos siguen consumiendo electricidad incluso cuando están en modo "apagado" o "en espera".
2. No pidas bolsas de plástico cuando vayas de compras. Muchas tiendas ofrecen un programa donde te regresan dinero por cada bolsa de tela que tengas, así que reutiliza tus bolsas de tela.
3. Lleva tazas reusables al trabajo o a la escuela para evitar usar vasos desechables. Algunas tiendas vended vasos insulados que pueden contener líquido caliente o frío, tienen una tapa y una pajita, ¡y la mejor parte es que estos vasos no sudan!
4. Planta un árbol.
5. Reemplaza los focos de luz regular con focos de luz que conservan energía.

7. Elige envases de vidrio en lugar de plástico.
8. Apaga las luces cuando no estén en uso.
9. Conserva el agua. Cierra la llave del agua mientras te cepillas los dientes.
10. Cubre las ollas al cocinar. Esto puede ahorrarte dinero mensualmente en la factura de electricidad.
11. Seca tu ropa al aire libre cada que sea posible en lugar de utilizar la secadora para conservar la energía.
12. Come menos carne roja. El metano es el gas que causa el calentamiento global y las vacas son una de las mayores emisores del metano.
13. Evita la compra de platos de papel.
14. Camina siempre que puedas, o trata de compartir el coche con otros que viajan al mismo lugar. Consulta con tu lugar de trabajo ya que muchos ofrecen incentivos a los que utilizan transporte colectivo y evitan conducir su propio vehículo para ir al trabajo.
15. Cuando manejes, mantén el mantenimiento regular de tu coche. Esto puede aumentar la eficiencia del combustible, y reducir las emisiones.

3. Take a reusable cup to work or school to avoid using disposable cups. Some stores carry insulated drinking glasses that can hold hot or cold liquid, have a lid and a straw, and they do not sweat!
4. Plant a tree.
5. Replace regular light bulbs with energy efficient light bulbs.
6. Recycle. You can find a list of recyclable materials here.
7. Choose glass containers instead of plastic ones.
8. Turn off lights when they are not in use.
9. Conserve your water. Turn the water faucet off while brushing your teeth.
10. Cover pots when cooking. This can save you money on your electric bill.
11. Air-dry your clothes whenever possible instead of using the dryer, to conserve energy.
12. Eat less red meat. Methane is the gas that causes global warming and cows are one of the largest emitters of methane.
13. Avoid buying paper plates.
14. Walk whenever you can, or try carpooling. Inquire with your place of employment, many offer incentive programs when you carpool and avoid driving your own car to work.
15. When you do drive, keep up with regular maintenance on your car. This can increase your fuel efficiency, and reduces emissions.
16. Opt for paperless billing.
